Course Outline

This is equivalent to 6 courses; and consists of writing a final thesis of a length of between 25,000 and 50,000 words (including references and appendices). Once the supervisor and student are happy with the thesis, it will be officially submitted for grading by two external examiners.

Please ensure that all assessments are adequately proctored/supervised. Calwest University recommends the use of approved external proctoring services such as ProctorU for a fee paid by the student. On application for MOOC credit, students will need to provide via email:

a notorized certificate of completion,
notarized evidence of undertaking the external course and that it was suitably proctored.

Calwest University will grant credit for such courses for a verification fee of $ 25.

IF REQUESTING A CHALLENGE ASSESSMENT ($ 250):

This option is for students who have previously undertaken a similar courses elsewhere (including MOOC Courses) that broadly covers the syllabus, but have NOT had their assessments proctored.

In such situations students can obtain Calwest University credit by undertaking a challenge exam administered by Calwest professors. Students do NOT require a course completion certificate from the MOOC provider, as all assessments of higher learning is being administered by Calwest University professors.

However, before applying for a Challenge Assessment, it is strongly recommended that students instead apply to do the Tubeclass of the same course (for the same fee of $ 250). This will enable them to revise the material and do the practice quizzes that will prepare them properly for the Challenge Assessment. There is only one attempt at the Challenge Assessment permitted.

IF UNDERTAKING VIA OTHER ACCREDITED UNIVERSITIES:

On application for Prior Learning credit, students will need to provide via email:

1. For those having taken this course at other education establishment certified copies of the Transcripts and Course Syllabus for this course.

For those completing a MOOC, a certified copy of the Course Syllabus and proof that the Course Assessment was suitably externally proctored..

Calwest University will grant credit for such courses for a verification fee of $ 25.
