The Business Philosophy program is to provide business professionals an opportunity for career related research at a doctoral level, Action research is undertaken to provide an industry responsive program for senior managers. Students research a specific area of study and write a research thesis. The program consists of 60 credit hours and leads to the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) degree award.
Different degree pathways are available for:
- ICMA Members who already have an MBA degree
- ICMA Members who do not have an MBA degree
- Other Finance Professionals who meet the Entry Requirements of a Degree in Accounting or Finance or Certified or Chartered Level of membership from a recognised body of professional accountants, and a minimum of 3-years business experience, must first obtain a minimum of Associate Membership of the ICMA by applying directly to that professional body, before undertaking Calwest University programs.
What Will Happen when you click the “Complete Application” button?
You will first be directed to an Application page where you will fill in your enrolment details.
After your enrolment details are completed, you will be asked to confirm your details via an Enrollment Agreement; and will then be directed to our secure CalPay Pro gateway for Bank of America site for you to pay the

This is the only payment required at this stage.
If you are subject to credit card limits, we strongly advise you to transfer the required fees to top-up your credit card account prior to using your card to enrol in programs and courses at Calwest University.
If your enrolment application is not accepted, the RPL credit recognition fee for the RPL and Research Methods $ 1875.00 will be refunded within 14-days of the submission of your application documentation.
Upon confirmation of your registration, you will be provided with all program details for the research component of the DBA degree.
On completion of this program a further payment of $ 350.00 will be required as program completion and degree granting fees.
Full cost of the DBA for MBA holders: The full cost of the DBA degree program is $ 8025.00 of which $ 2,075.00 is due on application now.
